Hilliard is located in Hilliard is in Franklin County and
10 miles northwest of downtown Columbus. Hilliard is bordered by Big Darby

freeway system. John Reed Hilliard purchased 10 acres of farmland from
Hoseach High and Abraham Wendell in 1852. Originally called Hilliard's
Station, the town grew around the railroad route of the Piqua and Indiana
